Why can't I make an online payment?

Please make sure you're entering your card number as one long number, with no spaces.

 

UK banks have added extra security checks for online shopping and your bank may now require you to enter a one-time passcode to authorise online payments.  This ensures that payments are made by the rightful owner.  Customers should make sure their bank has their correct and up to date contact details, such as mobile number, so your bank can text you a this one-time passcode.  We appreciate this is a real problem if you don’t own a mobile phone, or can’t get a signal at home to receive a code.  Some banks do have alternative methods, such as emailing or phoning you with a code.  If a customer has any specific needs, they should contact their bank to discuss what help is available.
